I met a girl once who told me that she always dressed opposite of her mood. So if she was feeling down, she would wear bright colors and happy prints to perk herself up. This morning when I was getting dressed I told myself, “Wear something that will make you feel pretty.” Because today I was feeling the farthest thing from it. Fashion + Tech

One area of fashion that I’m really interested in is the blending of technology into our apparel, accessories, and everyday lives. I feel like there is a lot of room to grow, however, because a lot of the fashion-meets-tech innovations still rely on gimmicks. Many garments still have that sci-fi feel rather than considering practical applications. It is only a matter of time before we have a more seamless (no pun intended) integration between the technologies we use everyday and the clothes we wear.

Lustworthy: Utility Pocket Pant

Now that spring is here, and quickly turning into summer, I’m realizing my wardrobe is quite dark. I can’t completely leave my black and greys in the closet because I love them so, but mixing in some brighter colors couldn’t hurt to feel fresh and new. These pants from Kate Spade Saturday are right up my alley. They are a slim-fit, 4-pocket utility pant made in stretch canvas. I love the simple lines and clean look that would go great with a variety of shoe choices. Saturday offers a handful of fun colors for these guys too.
